In grote getale waren de leden naar Driebergen gekomen voor het tweede deel van het FSC. Ditmaal was ook de jeugd van Fit erbij.

FSC 2 Midwinterloop in Driebergen
Zondag 12 December vanaf 10.00 uur gaat het 2de onderdeel van de interne Fit survivalcompetitie van start, de Midwinterloop/klompenpad in Driebergen. Naast de volwassenen kunnen ook de jeugdigen meedoen. Het parcours is voor de jeud ingekort.

FIT 2010 Seizoensafsluitwedstrijdje (3x woordwaarde).
De rondmailing had ik al een tijdje geleden in de Mailbox gehad. Op de trainingen kom ik niet zoveel meer, omdat ik op weg naar Zeist al anderhalf uur moet survivallen in de file. Maarja, een thuiswedstrijd als seizoenssluiter is natuurlijk wel speciaal. En dan het biertje, babbeltje en chips na, is toch een excuus om wel te gaan. In de greep van mijn nieuwe hobby (golfsurfen), liet ik het lot afhangen van wel- of geen swell. En toen de webcam s’ochtends een volledig platte branding liet zien, besloot ik de stam door te hakken en naar FIT af te reizen. Al was de voorbereiding niet optimaal, met de vorige dag al een trainingsmix van klimmen, een mul-zand loop en zeezwemmen. Zoals elk jaar proberen wij het trainingsseizoen op een leuke manier af te sluiten en ook dit keer is dat gelukt. Dankzij Alex, dat moet gezegd!!! Alex heeft het evenement weer eens goed voorbereid en uitgewerkt! Hoe doet hij dat toch zo snel? En zonder hulp!?
Afijn, dinsdagavond ging een groot aantal koppels van start na een briefing door Alex. 400 meter, 10 genummerde hindernissen, routekaartje in plastic niet-waterdicht hoesje, fietsend richting Amelisweerd, stukkie zwemmen, rennen, klauteren, beetje hijgen, weer fietsen, weer rennen en hindernissen. En dat allemaal met warm zomers weer. Prachtige route langs oude en bestaande beddingen van de Kromme Rijn, bijzondere fauna van harige rupsen (hebben jullie ze gezien?), langs Fort Rhijnauwen, over een spiksplinternieuw stukje bunkerpad, langs het oergezellige pannenkoekenhuis ( roken jullie de zoete geuren ook?), over het nieuwe schelpenpad bij het Fort (met schapen), door donkere kathedralen van hoge dichtbebladerde bomen, en weer terug de zandbult op bij Zeist.
En bij terugkomst lekker wat te drinken met een bescheiden zoutje.
Elwin en Kim bleken het snelste gelegenheidskoppel, ondanks dat Elwin in alle eerlijkheid opbiechtte dat er hier en daar wat schoonheidsfoutjes waren. Nou ja, bij wie niet?! Dus krgen zij de pet die ons allemaal past.
En onze drie hekkensluitende musketiers, die run-bike-runnend van start gingen, werden beloond met een lekker zoethoudertje. Maar waar kwam ineens die derde fiets met lekke band vandaan?
Rond 22.00 uur was het feestje weer voorbij en kunnen wij weer enkele weken opladen voor het nieuwe seizoen. Uiteraard kan er gewoon doorgesport worden, zij het met met enige aanpassing (zie eerdere berichten). En Peter verzorgt nog een trainingsschema voor een enerverende zomer!

En opnieuw werd er een sneeuwtraining georganiseerd op zondag. Waar velen afreisden naar het hoge Noorden, naar de survivalrun van Westerbork, trokken een aantal thuisblijvers naar de duinen van Soest. De zandduinen waren veranderd in een feeërijk sneeuwlandschap, getuige bijgevoegde foto’s.
Afgelopen dinsdag lag er nog een dik pak sneeuw op de atletiekbaan. Dat gaf Vincent weer inspiratie tot nieuwe trainingsmogelijkheden, hierbij gesteund door suggesties van de deelnemers. De essentie van de training was duidelijk: de sneeuw is er, dus dat zullen we merken ook!
Na enige inspanning was er veel tijd voor ontspanning, getuige bijgaande foto’s.
Vooraf waren Gert en Timo een beetje bevreesd dat ze wellicht met z’n tweeën moesten trainen. De weerberichten waren niet best en Kwintelooijen is misschien wel te ver van Zeist vandaan, maar toch was de opkomst boven verwachting, 3x zo veel mensen als wat Timo verwachtte en 2x zoveel als Gert verwachtte.
Bos met trimbaan werden afgewisseld met steile hellingen en trap en de crossbaan. Al met al bijna 2 uur getraind en heel wat hoogtemeters afgelegd!
Op zondag 6 december organiseren Gert en Timo een speciale training op de Utrechtse heuvelrug. We verzamelen ons om 10 uur op de parkeerplaats van Kwintelooijen tussen Veenendaal en Rhenen. Het programma is nog een verrassing, maar het wordt zeker leuk!
